Disney Family Tree ~ Five Generations beginning with
Kepple Elias Disney & Elias Charles Disney
From the Disney Archives
His Eminence +Roger Michael Cardinal Mahony, the retired Archbishop of Los Angeles, California has been a very longtime close family friend for many, many years. Cardinal Mahony has inspired us and helped us by his example to be better individuals as we live our lives following Christ! Daniel H. Disney worked closely with Cardinal Mahony for many months to create and establish print and so many other graphic images for the new Roman Catholic Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels that opened on September 2, 2002. During his tenure as Los Angeles Archbishop, Cardinal Mahony was instrumental in dividing the Archdiocese into five administrative subdivisions and in guiding the construction of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. Born in the Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles and raised in the city's San Fernando Valley area, Mahony was ordained to the priesthood in the Diocese of Monterey-Fresno in 1962. He was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Fresno in January 1975 and consecrated Bishop in March 1975. He was then appointed Bishop of Stockton in 1980. In 1985, Cardinal Mahony was appointed Archbishop of Los Angeles by Pope John Paul, II and became the first Los Angeles native to hold the office. He was created a Cardinal in 1991 by Pope John Paul II, and as such voted in the Papal conclaves that elected Popes Benedict XVI and Francis. The late Meredith A. Disney as well as sons Daniel H. Disney and Charles Elias Disney consider Cardinal Mahony to be one of their dearest longtime friends and across so many years! He is considered a member of the Disney Family! Cardinal Mahony's Father and Mother were Victor and Loretta Mahony. The Knights of Columbus Council in St. Charles Borromeo Parish in North Hollywood bears the name of Cardinal Mahony's beloved father Victor. This is the same Parish where Cardinal Mahony was baptized and confirmed and where he learned to love The Gospels and to serve others as encouraged by his parents, who are Victor and Loretta Mahony, and where he attended Catholic Elementary School.

"Cecil the Lion" & Charles Elias Disney... We must surely believe this:
"Just because something might be legal, that never means you should simply always act upon it!" Cecil the Lion was named for the British businessman Cecil Rhodes as was Rhodesia in East Africa, before it was named Zimbabwe! There always remains the moral, the good, and the virtuous standards we should do our best to live by at all times and in all circumstances! The killing of Cecil the Lion was not the right standard as exercised by the hunter who took it upon himself to break existing Eastern African laws and the standards long in place in Zimbabwe in Eastern Africa. He intentionally poached this protected magnificent lion. "Period!" Cecil the Lion was illegally lured away from the refuge where he was protected and then short with a powerful bow and arrow and seriously injured. Cecil ran back into the wild and was hunted down after 40 hours of horrible suffering and was finally shot to death with a high powered rifle. He was beheaded and skinned and his remains were left to deteriorate. The illegal killing/poaching of Cecil the Lion was accomplished because certain individuals completely lack the moral, the good, and the virtuous standards most good and noble people strive to always live by! My comments are not about hunting. My comments are my personal opinions and I am strongly opposed to so-called "trophy hunting." Trophy hunting is the selective hunting of wild animals exclusively for the sake of displaying the remains of the animal. The government in Africa is coming to grips with what this poacher accomplished in his desire to illegally 'trophy hunt' a most beloved and revered Lion known as "Cecil the Lion!" I am an advocate for Lions, Tigers, Elephants, and other wildlife and believe anyone who poaches any wild animal in Africa and India and elsewhere should be punished to the fullest extent of the laws in place in those sepcific regions! This hunter/poacher who slaughtered Cecil the Lion was fully aware/conscious of what he was doing! For him to state otherwise is, simply put, "completely untruthful and disingenuous!" "Cecil the Lion was so absolutely magnificent and he had obtained a very iconic stature in Zimbabwe" and his hunters knew all about Cecil's history and this illegal killing of Cecil must be immediately addressed by the African authorities! Daniel and I were fortunate enough and blessed to have personally interacted (albeit from a distance) with Cecil the Lion from the time he was but a small newborn Cub throughout his life and each time we visited Zimbabwe in East Africa! The American man (coward) who killed/poached him very likely lacks much, if any, real self-esteem or a sense of personal shame and this is very sad! Someone must speak up for Cecil the Lion! Daniel and I are gladly willing to fulfill this duty and obligation!" Charles Elias Disney Go to: www.CeciltheLion.website Joyce C. Hall & Hallmark Cards: "American Originals..."Joyce C. Hall was the founder of Hallmark Cards of Kansas City and was a very longtime personal friend of our Uncle Walt Disney. Walt personally approved the very first greeting cards for Mickey Mouse and other Disney Characters to be designed exclusively by Hallmark Cards in the 1940's! Joyce Hall was one of the kindest and most generous individuals and he was an American Original who revolutionized the greeting cards genre worldwide and it can be said that both entities continue as natural creative partners: Disney and Hallmark! It is impossible to do justice and be able to list all of the wonderful things Joyce C. Hall did for others throughout his entire life! He was a genuine pioneer and an outstanding citizen who advocated for his Kansas City and for our great country! Among other noteworthy endeavors he was an original organizer of the People to People program with President Dwight D. Eisenhower!

André Léon Marie Nicolas Rieu
Inspiring Dutch Violinist & Conductor
André Rieu was born into a musical family on October 1, 1949 in Maastricht in the Netherlands. He began studying violin at the age of five. His father was a conductor. From a very young age he developed a fascination with orchestra. He studied violin at the Conservatoire Royal in Liège and in the Conservatorium Maastricht, (1968–1973). His teachers included Jo Juda and Herman Krebbers. From 1974 to 1977, he attended the Music Academy in Brussels, studying with André Gertler, winning the Premier Prix at the academy.
Career
At University he performed the Gold And Silver Waltz by Franz Lehár. Encouraged by the audience reaction he decided to pursue the waltz form. Rieu formed the Maastricht Salon Orchestra and performed as a violinist with the Limburg Symphony Orchestra. In 1987, he created the Johann Strauss Orchestra and his own production company. Since then, his melodramatic stage performances and rock-star demeanor have for some been associated with a revival of the waltz music category. André Rieu plays a 1667 Stradivarius violin.
In April 2009 (Australia) /June 2009 (UK), he made a cameo appearance as himself on "Ramsay Street" in the long-running Australian soap opera Neighbours.
Johann Strauss Orchestra
The Orchestra began in 1987 with 12 members but now performs with between 40 and 50 musicians. At the time the Orchestra first toured Europe, there emerged a renewed interest in waltz music. The revival began in the Netherlands and was ignited by their recording of the Second Waltz from Shostakovich's Jazz Suites. As a result, Rieu became known as the waltz King.
Rieu and his orchestra have performed throughout Europe, in North America, and Japan. Winning a number of awards including two World Music Awards, their recordings have gone gold and platinum in many countries, including 8-times Platinum in the Netherlands. In September 2007 Rieu performed in Australia for the first time solo, without his Orchestra at the Eastland shopping centre in the Melbourne suburb of Ringwood playing "My Way" and "Waltzing Matilda"—and the next day appeared at Sydney’s Arena Cove, Warringah Mall shopping complex with the same set. Rieu and orchestra returned to Australia in November as part of his world tour. Rieu and his orchestra played 3 concerts at Melbourne's Telstra Dome from 13-15 November and continued their tour throughout Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide, through to December 2008. The concert theme is 'A Romantic Vienna Night' and the set comprises a replica of part of a Viennese castle, complete with 2 ice-skating rinks 2 Fountains, and a ballroom dance floor situated above and behind the Orchestra. Rieu's largest concert attendance to date in Australia was 38,000 on Saturday 15th November in Melbourne. The Perth concert did not feature the replica of the Viennese Palace as it was stated in the press because it would not fit into the front doors of Subiaco Oval.
He records both DVD and CD repertoire at his own recording studios in Maastricht in a wide range of classical music as well as popular and folk music plus music from well-known sound tracks and theatre musicals. His lively orchestral presentations, in tandem with incessant marketing, have attracted worldwide audiences to this subgenre of classical music.
Some of his orchestra's performances have been broadcast in the United Kingdom and the United States on the PBS television network such as the 2003 airing of Andre Rieu Live in Dublin, filmed in Dublin, Ireland, and 2005’s André Rieu Live in Tuscany filmed in the Piazza Della Repubblica in the village of Cortona in Tuscany.
Personal life
He is married to Marjorie, who works with him full-time as production manager, and has two sons, Marc and Pierre. He speaks (in order of fluency) Dutch (including his home/city dialect Maastrichtian), English, German, French, Italian and Spanish. Rieu has worked with his brother, Jean Philippe for several years, but Jean Philippe has now started his own production company.
Disney brothers inspired
Charles Elias Disney and his brother Daniel Harwood Disney have really enjoyed Rieu's music for many years and both of the Disney brothers have introduced many family and friends to what they both believe: "His music is both uplifting and inspiring and even quite electrifying!"

Disney buys much of Fox
in megamerger that did shake world of entertainment and media...
NEW YORK -- (Excerpts From The Washington Post)
The Walt Disney Company announced it has acquired the majority of assets from rival 21st Century Fox, a megamerger that aims to reset the balance of power in an industry under siege from Silicon Valley. Shareholders met at the New York Hilton on Friday, July 27, 2018 to approve this mega merger!
The merger pairs Disney, the No. 1 studio at the box office and company behind massive hits like "Titanic" and “The Avengers” and “Star Wars” reboots, with the No. 3 studio, Fox, which has produced the “X-Men” and “Avatar” franchises as well as a range of large and mid-budget crowd-pleasers and critically acclaimed films including "The Greatest Showman!"
It also brings brands such as FX, National Geographic and “The Simpsons” into the same fold as ESPN and ABC — all part of Disney’s gamble that only a company of this size could effectively thwart a furious charge into the business of entertainment by well-financed technology giants like Netflix, Apple and Google.
Disney will pay $52.4 billion for Fox, which for its part will spin off Fox broadcast networks, the Fox News Channel and Fox Business Channel, the Fox studio lot in Los Angeles and several national sports channels, leaving them in the hands of 21st Century Fox chairman Rupert Murdoch and his family.
Robert Iger, the chairman and chief executive of Disney who had been discussed as a potential 2020 presidential candidate, will continue with the combined firm through 2021.
The deal takes two media and entertainments titans and, after a period of negotiating chess, essentially divides up territory between them. Iger will lead the legacy-entertainment charge against the new competitors, while Murdoch will attempt to make gains as the business of news and live programming face challenges from digital upstarts.
“We’re excited about this extraordinary opportunity to significantly increase our portfolio of well-loved franchises and branded content to greatly enhance our growing direct-to-consumer offerings,” Iger said in a statement Thursday morning.
Murdoch, meanwhile, is confronting similar challenges in the news business. Fox News and Fox Business come as part of most basic cable bundles and are susceptible to the same cord-cutting challenges. The thorn in his side are free platforms like Facebook, which have become increasingly central to how many Americans consume news. A focused news company with its own scale, Murdoch hopes, can help defeat these rivals — potentially one reason Murdoch is reportedly interested in buying CNN.
“The new Fox will draw upon the powerful live news and sports businesses of Fox, as well as the strength of our broadcast network,” Murdoch said in a statement.
The new Fox will own 25 percent of the newly combined entity, but it’s not yet clear what representation the Murdochs will have in the new company. One of Rupert Murdoch’s sons, James, is chief executive of 21st century Fox, and it’s common for studio heads to remain after acquisitions. Iger said he “look[s] forward to talking to him about it” in the coming months, referring to James.
As part of the all-stock deal, Disney will also acquire Fox’s 30 percent stake in Hulu, a group of U.S. cable stations, several powerhouse international satellite channels such as Star India and Sky Italia, and a host of U.S. regional sports outlets.
The deal takes Murdoch out of much of the scripted television game and all of the film business, ending a Hollywood association that began more than three decades ago when Murdoch bought Twentieth Century Fox from industrialist Marvin Davis and crested as recently as 2014 when Fox led all studios by market share for the first time this century.
Lachlan Murdoch, Rupert’s son and the executive co-chair of 21st Century Fox, noted that “while the merged business is about scale, the new Fox is about returning to our roots as a lean and aggressive brand.” The family said there had not been talk yet of recombining with the print media-driven News Corp., owner of the Wall Street Journal and other publication.
“If we do, it’s well into the future,” Rupert Murdoch said.
But close observers said Murdoch wants to remain involved in entertainment and simplysaw a Disney combination as the best way forward.
“Rupert doesn’t see this as much as selling as he does buying,” the Los Angeles-based investment banker Lloyd Greif said in an email to The Post. “He’s buying Bob Iger and his Midas touch when it comes to filmed content,” Greif said.
Greif added, “It’s a vote of confidence by Rupert in Iger and his management team over his own. He sees troubled waters ahead and wants the best ship and crew to navigate them.”
For Iger, Thursday’s deal amounts to another success after earlier efforts to buy Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm.
But Fox will provide the greatest integration challenge yet, with many of the newly acquired company’s divisions overlapping with Disney’s existing operations. And greater scale, while valuable in negotiating traditional distributor deals with cable operators and movie theaters, is no guarantee of direct-to-consumer success.
Wall Street was bullish on the announcement, sending Disney’s stock up nearly three and Fox almost seven percent.
Regulators and shareholders must still approve the Disney-Fox deal, but most analysts do not expect it to face problems. In a very different scenario, the Justice Department is currently suing AT&T to stop its acquisition of Time Warner, noting concerns about the marriage of a distributor and content provider.
A few experts dissented, though, and said the sheer volume of creative assets could give regulators pause.
“The scrutiny could be very close and the new antitrust leadership is unpredictable at this point, as witnessed by Time Warner-ATT,” said Carl Tobias, a professor at the University of Richmond law school. “I expect DOJ and Congress will be most interested in what this combination will mean for consumers and whether it concentrates too much power in the new entity.”
Combined, the new Disney could boast as much as $75 billion in revenue, with nearly a third coming from Fox assets.
On the Disney call, Iger said that he envisions Disney’s new service, set for 2019, coexisting with Hulu, the former in a “family vein” and latter as “adult-oriented.” Analysts, however, have questioned what the long-term future of Hulu will hold now that Disney owns a controlling 60 percent stake (Comcast Universal has 30 percent and Time Warner 10 percent).
Would executives shelve the service and shift their resources to Disney’s proprietary platform? Or would they actually try to maintain both Hulu and a separate streaming service?
“I think it’s going to be tough—I don’t understand how you would segment it,” said Aaron Shapiro, the founder of Huge, a digital marketing agency that has done work for Hulu.
He said he eventually saw one Disney entry point for consumers, under one brand, whatever it was called. “I think they need to put all their eggs in one basket and go for it,” he said, noting the challenge of attracting many of the 100 million Netflix subscribers. The Disney acquisition hints at a further industry consolidation, analysts say, that could see Viacom, CBS, Lionsgate and Sony seek large buyers too, and leave just a few large legacy conglomerates such as Disney-Fox, Comcast Universal and a potential AT&T Time Warner.
Insiders said they believe Disney will be a test for other content providers as they seek to launch direct-to-consumer businesses--if the world’s largest media conglomerate is unable to successfully do so, it might make them reconsider whether they should even try.
The news provides a bookend of sorts to a 1995 merger that also saw Disney combine with a television giant — Capital Cities/ABC — setting off a wave of entertainment-industry consolidation. Coincidentally, it was that deal that brought Iger into the Disney fold: he was the president of Capital Cities/ABC at the time.
In the call, Iger alluded to that past, saying he was a “product” of that merger, which in turn makes him “respect and appreciate the talent” that comes with the Fox acquisition.
Charles Elias Disney, a nephew of Walt Disney and a company shareholder, said: "This merger would have amazed and even excited Walt Disney! He would be very pleased because he was always wanting to expand the content and capacity of the company he created so many years ago! Uncle Walt would have likely approved and been very proud of Bob Iger and Rupert Murdoch and the shareholders for this most historic merger!"
Bob Iger, Chairman of The Walt Disney Company served on President Donald J. Trump's original Strategic and Policy Forum...
Bob Iger The Walt Disney Company Chairman was among the list of business leaders who made up President Donald J. Trump’s original Strategic and Policy Forum, with regular meetings scheduled in The White House. Stephen A. Schwarzman, the chairman and CEO of The Blackstone Group, chaired the group.
Members “were charged with providing their individual views to the President – informed by their unique vantage points in the private sector –on how government policy impacts economic growth, job creation, and productivity. The Forum was designed to provide direct input to the President from many of the best and brightest in the business world in a frank, non-bureaucratic, and non-partisan manner.”
In a statement, Trump said, “This Forum brought together CEOs and business leaders who know what it takes to create jobs and drive economic growth. My administration is committed to drawing on private sector expertise and cutting the government red tape that is holding back our businesses from hiring, innovating, and expanding right here in America.”
Iger issued a statement saying he considered service on the panel “non-partisan.”
“The Forum provided a non-partisan approach to key economic policy issues, reflecting an array of individual perspectives from a cross-section of industries,” Iger said. “I welcomed the chance to be part of the important discussions about the most effective ways to grow jobs and expand economic opportunity in America.”
Charles Elias Disney remarked: "Uncle Walt Disney would be very proud of Bob Iger's willingness to serve our great country as a member of President Donald J. Trump's Policy Forum! Why? Because Bob Iger is an extraordinary man!"

Bank of America really played a very significant role in the early beginnings of Walt Disney's happiest dreams!
Amadeo Pietro Giannini, also known as Amadeo Peter Giannini (May 6, 1870 – June 3, 1949) was an American banker who founded the Bank of America. Giannini is credited as the inventor of many modern banking practices. Most notably, Giannini was one of the first bankers to offer banking services to middle-class Americans, rather than only the upper class. He also pioneered the holding company structure and established one of the first modern trans-national institutions.
Giannini founded the Bank of Italy in San Francisco on October 17, 1904. The bank was housed in a converted saloon as an institution for the "little fellow." It was a new bank for the hardworking immigrants other banks would not serve. He offered those ignored customers savings accounts and loans, judging them not by their wealth, but by their character. Deposits on that first day totaled $8,780. Within a year, deposits soared above $700,000 ($13.5 million in 2002 dollars). The 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fires leveled much of the city. In the face of widespread devastation, Giannini set up a temporary bank, collecting deposits, making loans, and proclaiming that San Francisco would rise from the ashes.
Giannini helped nurture the motion picture and wine industries in California. He loaned Walt Disney the funds to produce "Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs" the first full-length, animated motion picture to be made in the United States! When Walt and Roy repaid this loan to Giannini, they became longtime friends! And it was Bank of America that provided so much of the funding brothers Walt and Roy O. Disney needed to build the original Disneyland in Anaheim, CA in 1954-55! Often, Walt would say: "There may never have been a Disneyland without Amadeo Giannini and his Bank of America!"
During the Great Depression, he bought the bonds that financed the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge. During World War II, he bankrolled industrialist Henry Kaiser and his enterprises supporting the war effort. After the war, he visited Italy and arranged for loans to help rebuild the war-torn Fiat factories. Giannini also provided capital to William Hewlett and David Packard to help form Hewlett-Packard.
Amadeo Giannini was a genuine one-of-a-kind gentleman and such a good friend, and "his word was always his bond." Brothers Charles Elias Disney and Daniel H. Disney have banked with Bank of America for their entire lives!

First Cousins and Close Friends Roy E. Disney and Charles Elias Disney...
Roy Edward Disney and Charles Elias Disney are first cousins. Roy's father was Roy Oliver Disney and Charles Elias' father was Raymond Arnold Disney. Roy Edward and Charles Elias were lifetime friends and they enjoyed visiting Ireland and spending time together and prime time with their respective families. Brothers Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney established what is today known as The Walt Disney Company.
They are both pictured together here in The Walt Disney Feature Animation Building that was renamed the Roy E. Disney Animation Building on May 7, 2010 following the passing of Roy E. Disney in 2009! Roy revitalized the animation division and renewed the entire company spirit and actually spent a lifetime helping to create "Disney Magic!"
As a tribute to Roy E. Disney, the animation studio building at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California, was re-dedicated as the "Roy E. Disney Animation Building" on May 7, 2010. Hundreds of D23 members were present for the celebration. VIPs Roy Patrick Disney, CEO executive Robert A. Iger, film producer Don Hahn, Mickey Mouse, Roy's first cousins Charles Elias Disney and Daniel H. Disney were on hand for the dedication.
Actually, Charles Elias Disney named his late son Charles Roy "Charlie" Disney after his cousin Roy E. Disney and also his uncle (Roy's dad) who was Roy Oliver Disney.
Roy Edward Disney is credited with "reviving" The Walt Disney Company, twice. Sadly, while these company revivals caused some considerable disharmony within the Disney family, undeniably the company grew and prospered significantly during Roy E. Disney's control. The contentious relations between some of the Disney family directly relating to the so-called "revivals" has been quite sad and is likely to never fully be healed, at least in the near future, and this is really quite unfortunate! Growth and change will often bring about unfortunate and even some unexpected outcomes, and, as well, either positive or negative results and conclusions!
The old proverb states: "Time heals all wounds!" However, and most likely, the final resolve in the family will likely be in the working of Divine Providence...and, hopefully, sooner than later!

So many close Family & Friends!
Very often, never enough time to spend with those we will always love...

Lyrics...
I pray You'll be our eyes
And watch us where we go
And help us to be wise
In times when we don't know
Let this be our prayer when we lose our way
Lead us to a place
Guide us with Your grace
To a place where we'll be safe
I pray we'll find Your light
And hold it in our hearts
When stars go out each night
You're our eternal star
Let this be our prayer when shadows fill our day
Lead us to a place
Guide us with Your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe
Sognamo un mondo senza piu violenza Un mondo di giustizia e di speranza Ognuno dia la mano al suo vicino Simbolo di pace e di fraternita
We ask that life be kind
And watch us from above
We hope each soul will find
Another soul to love
Let this be our prayer just like every child
Needs to find a place
Guide us with Your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe
E la fede che
Hai acceso in noi
Sento che ci salvera

David and Nathan sing "The Prayer" and their voices blend so perfectly! These guys are longtime friends and to hear them sing together is a wonderful experience, to be certain! Sometimes it is possible to hear "perfect voices" and this is an example of such "perfection!"

4ocean working to clear plastics, etc.
from the oceans!
4ocean is a United States company focused on removing plastic waste from the ocean and is funded by selling bracelets made from recycled materials. 4ocean was established by Alex Schulze and Andrew Cooper and others. The company pledges to remove one pound of trash from the ocean and coastlines for each bracelet that is sold. Water bottles and various apparel are also sold to fund the cleanup efforts. 4ocean operates in United States, Bali and Haiti where employees work hard to remove trash.
The story begins when Alex and Andrew take a surf trip...to Bali Indonesia that would inevitably change their lives and the fate of the ocean. Devastated by the amount of plastic in the ocean, they set out to find out why no one was doing anything about it. One afternoon they came across an old fishing village where fishermen were literally pushing their boat through piles of plastic that had washed up on shore. The two surfers realized that the proliferation of plastic threatened both the ocean environment and the fishermen's livelihood. Could the fishermen use their nets, they wondered, to pull the plastic from the ocean? This idea stuck with the 2 surfers and they knew it was time to hit the drawing board. After realizing that the demand for seafood was driving the fishermen to focus on fish instead of plastic, they knew they had to create something that could fund the desired cleanup efforts. This is how the 4ocean Bracelet was born.
Made with recycled materials, every bracelet purchased funds the removal of 1 pound of trash from the ocean and coastlines. In less than 2 years, 4ocean has removed 4,177,309 pounds of trash from the ocean and coastlines. 4ocean currently operates out of multiple countries and employs over 150 people worldwide.

Kansas City Royals' Brady Singer Pays off Parents' Debt for Christmas: 'You Deserve the Best'
Kansas City Royals pitcher Brady Singer gave his parents an extra special Christmas (2018) gift to pay them back for the many years they supported his baseball dreams.
Singer, 22, shared footage of the sweet moment, showing his parents sitting at a dining room table as his mother read a letter from him. In it Singer wrote of his mom and dad’s dedication and all they sacrificed to help him achieve his goals.
“You both always wanted me to have the best stuff to help me pursue my dreams. The money you both spent on traveling, gear, hotel, food and all those Gatorades I drank is much more than I could ever give you,” he wrote. “But there is something I want to give to you. I am paying off the loan from the bank [and] I’ve paid off all your debt as well.”
Singer’s clip shows his mom becoming emotional, pausing briefly before she continues reading the letter in tears. “Now instead of trying to save money every weekend to replace the savings account you drained on traveling to see me play baseball, you can spend it on yourselves,” he told them in his letter.
“Because you deserve the very best. I want you both to know how much I appreciate you and how none of this would be possible without you,” Singer wrote. “Your giving hearts helped to shape my tiny dream into a reality.”

Singer’s star has been on the rise: Earlier this year, he was awarded the Dick Howser Trophy as college baseball’s player of the year, according to the Associated Press. The Royals picked him 18th overall in the 2018 draft, The Kansas City Star reported.
He received a $4.25 million signing bonus from the team, according to the Star, and officials were excited to have the talented pitcher join the team. “He is gonna be what people in Kansas City are gonna love to come to the ballpark to see,” Royals scouting director Lonnie Goldberg said during a news conference at the time, according to The Star.
With all his success, Singer has shared grateful posts praising his parents and close friends on social media. Upon joining the team, he shared a sweet Instagram photo of himself smiling alongside his mom and dad. “Dreams come true today! Pumped to be part of the @kcroyals family,” he captioned the picture. “Big thanks to Gator Nation for the past 3 years and everyone who has supported me along the way! Now, the journey begins. Go Gators & Go Royals!”

Sir Elton John with a wonderful Lion Cub as he is composing the music for "The Lion King"
Sir Elton John has composed so many wonderful (and inspiring) musical compositions for films. His music for Walt Disney's "The Lion King" is perhaps one of Elton's most compelling works! Each composition is made perfect with his precise timing and coordination and the deep emotional sentiments Elton interweaves throughout each of his very deep and heartfelt compositions for this beautiful film!
"Elton's sincere and his personal love and respect for the creatures portrayed in this classic film obviously enhances his musical contributions and he has been a longtime personal friend!"

Harry Murphy, a very good man, a close friend, and a respected restaurateur in Kansas City...
Harry Murphy is the the owner and operator of Harry's Country Club and Brown & Loe eateries. Both are trendy and very nice restaurants and bars located in the City Market District just north of downtown Kansas City, Missouri. To begin with, we have been going to Harry's Country Club since it first opened in 2003. That is, when we were in town, we always made it a point to get to Harry's Country Club! Always the food has been so exceptional and the staff is most thoughtful and caring about their patrons. We have also always enjoyed the atmosphere in Harry's! Harry's new venue is one block north of Harry's Country Club in the River Market District. Brown & Loe is an upscale American bistro owned and managed by Harry's daughter who is Kate McGlaughlin. One recent Sunday afternoon in 2017 Harry's hosted a fund raiser to help Sofia Smith, a little girl who is facing some very difficult surgery to repair her heart. This is what prompted us to include Harry Murphy on our website. He not only owns and co-operates two great restaurants and bars, but he is a man of great charity and thoughtfulness and this impression is genuine on our part and shared by others we have spoken with! Most people likely feel kinship with Harry because he is so kind and polite and welcoming, and he is quite genuine and the food and service in his eateries is always so great! We do consider Harry as a great friend!
Max Kaniger really makes a difference in the lives of strangers...
Maxfield "Max" Kaniger is an extraordinary guy! He is focused on reaching out to people in the inner-city of Kansas City. He has established Kanbe's Markets and his desire is to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to people who very often do not have access to such foods most of us readily find in the super market we are able to access. He is an example of a man who believes in his "mission" of helping and caring about others and his success comes from his genuine willingness to help make others lives more fulfilled! Max is always working to help others and he is an inspiration to us and he is also a good friend!
